Who reads my Blog anyway?

So I was just wondering.... who really reads my blog anyway? I never got a comment... I never got a flag.... so where is the proof that anyone even see this page??? (Why can't I add a counter??) I guess I'll just have FAITH that someone out there in the WORLD WIDE WEB family has happened on this blog and read all about my times and thoughts. If not atleast there is a place for me to write somethings down!

I started on a blanket... it wasn't an order... just loved the yarn so much I wanted to make something with it... I'll get some pictures up soon.... well the Baby is calling me....

Read on!

So where have you been?

So things are so crazy here. I haven't been around at all. I had a blanket for a good good friend but of course I forgot to take a picture. The baby is crawling around like a mad baby!!! He's all over the place! But it's fun.

My Brother is doing well overseas. We get pictures and emails every few days. Which is nice... nothing like seeing and hearing from a loved one with current dates! I'm so thankfull this is not the age where we have to wait for 2 weeks to hear from Our Soliders!!

The New Year feels old already. I don't about you but it's back to same ole same ole.

I have found a link to my favortive John Mayer song ... on yes here's the link

I hope you get to view it and enjoy the music. I love his playing..... I've been listening to it each day at least 4 times.... Crazy right! LOL

Well I guess I need to get back to some crocheting... I started a blanket... just to have. My plan is to make a few and during the early fall go to some Craft Fairs and see how I do!

The random world

The Sky above my house about 2 weeks ago. It was so beautiful...this picture... I don't think does it justice.
Sometimes the simple things about this earth are the best to see. A swollen river, a group of rocks, the clouds, sunny rain shower, a tree moving in the know random things that make you feel good about the world around you. What can I do to protect this world of random so my son can see them?

That blanket

Ever work on something... but change your mind or lose interest in it??? Well not with this blanket... I loved the colors so much I just couldn't wait to see the finished project. Then I wanted to dress it up.... being that it's for my son I didn't want to go all fancy border... so I did motifs instead.... leaf ones... that I found on Lionbrand's website. Here is a picture of the blanket... really the close up of the leaves! It turns out this is a perfect naptime/playtime blanket cause it's too big really for a stroller blanket... so you know what that means LOL. Enjoy the weekend!

I made cake

So I wanted to start and finish a blanket this weekend. And I almost did it... but then today I had to go out for more yarn... and I ended up shopping and then made a cake :)

Don't get all excited... it's a simple yellow cake mix with just a touch of my secret spices!!! Then cool whip and sugar/cinnamon strawberries on top!

I wanted to finish this blanket for Amir. I'm calling it "Fall Leaf." It's about 24ins wide and 38ins long.... I'm going to 48ins by 38ins.... here is a sneak peak. But I did the cake instead...I'm not too upset cause it's 72 degrees in Jersey this weekend... so he doesn't really need it. I really want it for when we go apple and pumpkin picking next weekend.

How many projects at once?

I think I'm working on at least 4 projects! 2 for my son, 1 for my bedroom, and 1 for sale! The sale one is a shell pattern! So it's a lot of crocheting and not a lot of progress. But I should be done by next weekend.

The bedroom (picture) one is a long long progress.... but it's a quicker pattern and I'm using a "N" size needle.... holding together 1 strand of WW and 1 strand of Homespun. I'm using about 6 different WW colors.... Redheart. It's about 5 feet long so far and 50 in wide... but i still have the edging to do!!!
